The Thespian Dilip Kumar played the title role. Jeetendra played Yusuf Saahb's brother. Dharam Adhikari is a chief justice of a South Indian village with lots of other characters.. Panchayat, Zameendaar, Gaonwale etc. Huge starcast of Rohini Hattangady, Anuradha Patel, Raj Kiran, Arun Govil, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Asrani etc etc... and Sridevi who had to sing songs, dance in the sugarcane fields and provide some comic moments. Remake of a Telugu hit, this Hindi version was a flop.
It had a song Ankhen do.. Ankhen do.. Kya Karoon.. Kya Karoon... (what a stupid lyrics!) - Two eyes. Two eyes.. what shuld I do? what shuld I do?
But... My Devi was good in this film too!
