Sridevi plays an suspecting South Indian Madrasi wife to an flirt Punjabi Akalmand Husband (Jeetendra). In real life too, Sri has married a Punjabi Munda (Boney)... Akalmandi ka kaam kiya, devi ne.
Now, let me get back to little Akal. So, poor Jeetu is trapped in a murder (Aruna Irani) and the suspense is much created, what with Sridevi's suspicious mannerisms about her husband's fidelity. Sarika, Ashok Kumar, Khader Khan, Shakti Kapoor and co. were also in the film.
The film had a Tamil - Hindi number - Yennayya Yenacchi? Yenakdhana Nee Sollu.. Madrasi Ladki ka... Punjabi ladke se.. pyaar hua phir shaadi hogayee..
And the another song went : Meri Biwi Maike chali gayee....
The film was a failure, but entertaining.. Grab the DVD now for only Sridevi's sake
