The first sequel in Indian films. After the runaway tremendous success of Nagina, Harmesh Malhotra did the sequel. But, unfortunately the attempt turned flop. The film had a good subject, though. It continued, from where it stopped in Nagina. In the sequel, Sri and Rishi are no more, but their daughter Sri (Neelam) comes back to the Haveli after completion of her studies abroad. Its uncle Pran who takes care of her as a guardian. Anupam Kher, the evil disciple of Baironath (Amrish Puri) is eager to get the Nagina (precious diamond). Sridevi is always protected by two snakes (her mother Sridevi's friends). Anupam Kher cannot get hold of Devi and the diamond. So he transforms a trapped snake into human (Sunny Deol) and puts him into action to get hold of Devi. Sunny falls in love with Devi eventually and later he also defends Kher. The hit song from the original, Main Teri Dushman gets repeated here picturised on Devi and the tantriks in golden avatar (Sri wears a golden attire) for this number. Finally, Kher breathes his last after getting punished for his crime, and Sri and Sunny live happily everafter as human beings. Thus, brought the end of the sequel. Well, later Malhotra also announced the threequel for the film of having Nagina Part III, but it got shelved before it was even started.
