Gori Ka Saajan, Saajan Ki Devi - AAKHREE RAASTA

Kamal Hassan's Oru Kaithiyan Dairy (Tamil) was remade in Hindi as Aakhree Raastha by K Bhagyaraj, who directed the original too. Amithabh plays Father and Son. Jaya Pradha plays Mother to the young Amithabh (she dies when the Lamboo grows) and so Amithabh plays the 'Gori Ka Saajan' and Sridevi plays 'Saajan Ki Gori'. She plays Vinita, who had to fool Amithabh in many situations, when he is really busy in his duty (He is a police officer, in search of His own father, a criminal). Sridevi helps the criminal father to some extent in fulfilling his ambition of killing the villains. The film was a hit in Tamil and in Hindi too. Rekha had dubbed for Sridevi in the film.
