After Himmatwala and Mawali got released and other Sridevi films being made (on the floors were Justice Chaudhary, Kalakaar, Jaani Dost etc), to gain her popularity some South films got dubbed into Hindi and were released, starting with Nasheeli Jawani and Love in Singapur. Joining the list of dubbed film was this Telugu film, Prema Nakshatram which got its Hindi title - Prem Jyothi. Telugu star Krishna (who owns Padmalaya Studios and is a Jeetendra buddy) plays Prem and Sridevi plays Jyothi, who are colleagues of a company run by a strict Manager (Gopal Rao), fall in love eventually. Rao fires both of them from the company as he is against to the affairs like love, marriage etc. Family objections take place and finally, the lovers unite. Directed by P Samba Siva Rao with music by MS Viswanathan, the Hindi lyrics of a song went - Naam Bol Patidev ka, Kaisa hoga woh Hum bi suney.... (ha ha ha).
