I was very excited (amongst the entire nation of Sri fans) when I got to know that Sri is coming home directly (I mean to say at our Tv sets) as Malini Iyer. And like her new release film, was very much excited to look forward to its release (telecast). Just Imagine, how it feels when Sridevi who had said Good Bye to films in 1996 - that JUDAAI bardasht nahi ho payee.. And mujhe Sridevi ka SAHARA mila as she came back as Malini Iyer.

This was produced by Sridevi and Boney Kapoor and directed by Calendar Kaushik. It came on Television in 2004 (8 yrs after she said bye to Silver screen). And we culd watch Malini every Mon & Tue at 9 pm. It was all about Sri in her real life with some reel added to it. Malini is a South Indian girl married to Punjabi (Mahesh Thakur) and how she brings both cultures together thanks to her expressions, mannerisms, acting (which was not at all over act).. It was so nice to see her mouth the lines - Mere Do Do Pati, Ek Mera Pati, Ek Tirupathi! As a perfect wife, bahu and sister in law, she was the Gharwali No.1 in this comedy serial. I fondly, used to call this serial MALANI IYER!
