Jaya Pradha and Sridevi were sisters in Tohfa and their chemistry together in several movies established their success. Well people said Jaya was a competition to Devi. But, see what proved finally. Well, coming to this film Jaya opted out at the last moment and Poonam Dhillon took her place as the elder sister. And to this day, Poonam and Devi are good friends. They have worked together in a couple of films namely besides this film in Karma, Sone Pe Suhaaga, Himmat Aur Mehnat and Judaai. Getting back to the film, Asha (Poonam) and Latha (Devi) are sisters who are good in dance and singing. They both compete and Poonam wins, Devi gets irritated and frustated so she drives a car recklessly and in her rash driving she kills a girl and meets with an accident and loses her memory. Poonam loves Jackie, but he silently loves Devi. Vinod Khanna comes in the scene to help Devi from her trauma. They fall in love and get married. It is later known that he actually is in verge to kill Devi as she had killed his sister in the accident. . A film that I want to forget because I did not like the film. Watched it only because of Sridevi. This film is worst from Kajol family (Her father Shomu Mukherjee is the producer).
