Sridevi and Padmini Kolhapure are sisters. They are from a poor family. Sri's ambition is to be very rich. She is very stubborn and not so homely, while Padmini is the opposite. Jeetu and Sri fall in love and get married. There is Raj Babbar too, who is silently in love with Devi. After Sri's marriage, she does not co-operate in the family, also she does not take care of her little daughter. And then, she walks out of the house to stay with the rich Raj Babbar. The family (parents of Sri - Pran and Tanuja) abandon Sri for her behavior and for the sake of the small child, sister Padmini married her Jeeju Jeetu. Years pass by. Raj Babbar dies. And Sri makes a comeback to her village and to her family. She realizes her mistakes and wants to meet her school going daughter. Padmini does not let this happen. Jeetu finds a solution, after all she was his first love, first wife, and mother of his daughter. But, its too late. Sridevi breathes her last as she suffers from a disease. She dies as a Suhaagan. Jeetendra and Padmini do her final rites, as her grand funeral. Oh no, I have given the full story.. Yeah! And may be boring for some of you! But for me... Its Sridevi, so Its Gr8!!!
