Sri plays a Gypsy girl Reshma, who is in search of her lost love of the previous birth. She finds that her portrait has been done by a wealthy young man, even before they met. She tries to find the details. A reincarnation story, in the earlier birth she was the Queen of an Haveli. Rishi Kapoor was her love then. Fate did not allow them to wed each other in their last birth, and they got separated. So, they get united in the present era. Laxmikanth Pyarelal had tuned some melodious songs but the film was a flop from the hit director, Harmesh Malhotra.
